GANO, Daniel

Of Scott County, Kentucky, who was a Capt. in the company commanded by ___ of the Regt. commanded by Colonel Lamb in the New York Line for the
term of two years from 1776.
Inscribed on the roll of Kentucky at the rate of 400 dollars . . . .to commence on the 4 day of March 183_
Certificate issued the 25 of July 1832 and sent to pensioner, Georgetown, KY

District of Kentucky - Sct
On the 18th of April 1818 before me the undersigned one of the circuit judges for the Commonwealth aforesaid personally appeared Daniel Gano, aged 60 years
resident of Scott County in the said district, who being by me first duly sworn according to Law doth on his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain
provision made by the late act of Congress entitled "an act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and ___ service of the United States in the
revolutionary war"  That he the said Daniel Gano was on the 28th of June appointed a Lieutenant in Capt R ___ company of the 1st New York Regiment in the
state of New York which sd regiment was commanded by Col. Alex McDougall in the continental establishment that he continued in the service of the United
Sates in the above mentioned capacity in the infantry line until 1776 and on the day of the E---- of New York he received a appointment from Genl. Henry Knox
of Capt. Lieutenant of Artillery in which station he acted until 1778 or 1779 he then resigned and continued in the service of the state of New York nearly till he
close of the war.  That is is in reduced circumstances and stands in need of the assistance of his county for support and that he has not evidence now in his
___ of his said services.

Daniel Gano again appeared on 7th Aug 1820, aged 62 years. At this time he had 5 of his children with him, the oldest being 14 years of age.
On 21 Feb 1853, in Scott County Court, Jemima Gano, widow of Daniel Gano appeared in court, she was aged 71 years.  She states she was married to said
Daniel Gano in the county of Franklin, state of Kentucky on 21st of May 1808 by William Hickman and that her name before marriage was Jemima Robertson.
She states she was married to said Daniel Gano in the county of Franklin.  She stated her husband Daniel Gano, died in Scott County, Kentucky on the
8th day of April 1849.

On 21 Oct 1856, Jemima Gano, again appeared in Scott County Court, she applied for Bounty Land under the act of March 3rd 1855.  Stephen Gano, had
the family bible at this time and testified as to the writing of Daniel Gano in the bible recording his marriage to Jemima.

The Pension states Daniel Gano was born November 1753 -
In 1823 the children of Daniel Gano were; John, age 12; Isaac, age 10; Daniel, age 8; Richard, age 6; Eveline, age 5 and Stephen, age 3.  In 1851 there is
a mention of a John P. Gano, a Justice of the Peach in Scott County
