Mt. Gilead reported by letter and messengers every year until 1829 when she reported 126 members. In that year the seperation between the Baptists and Reformers occurred and Mt. Gilead was one of the 7 churches that voted in favor of retaining the constitution of Boone's Creek Assn. In 1849 Mt. Gilead was dropped from Boone's Creek Assn.
