In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Project - KyGenWeb. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected data would be stored. At the same time, volunteers were found to provide a web page for each county.The coordinator for the state of Kentucky is Sherri Hall.
