I looked at another entry in the marriage index and found Duff Eugene 
Chadwell listed as "Eugene Caldwell".  His wife was Mabel Mullins.  His 
daughter, Charlotte, was married to David Ralph Young.  
I met 'Gene' Chadwell on many occasions and, again, I am sure of my facts.  
As further evidence, I am including his obituary as found on the Lincoln 
County Obituaries website.

STANFORD - A memorial service for Duff Eugene "Gene" Chadwell, 101, of 
Venice, Fla., will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Stanford Baptist Church by
Ralph Young and the Rev. Norman Young.

Burial will be in Mount Moriah Christian Church Cemetery. He died Nov. 24 in 
Venice.

Born Nov. 19, 1903, in LaFollette, Tenn., he was the son of the late Lewis 
and Julia Meredith Chadwell. He was a farmer and the widower of
Mabel Mullins Chadwell.

Survivors include four sons, Bill Chadwell of Nokomis, Fla., Loyd Chadwell 
of Louisville, Paul Chadwell of Savannah, Ga., and Eugene Chadwell
of Germany; two daughters, Charlotte Young of Highland and Carolyn Lancaster 
of Louisville; three sisters, Flo Matasoff of Dayton, Ohio, Cleo
Brackett of Lancaster, and Leore Puterbaugh of Florida; 18 grandchildren; 
and 15 great-grandchildren. (Julia Meredith Chadwell, b. 06 Mar., 1881
d. 19 Jan. 1934 buried in Hall's Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.  James Lewis 
Chadwell b. 28 Aug 1879 - d. 22 Dec., 1965. Buried in Hall's Gap
