The Grand Jury of Lawrence County, in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, accuse William Rite of the offense of Assault
committed as follows, to wit: The said William Rite on the 1st day of January 1861 [[1862?], in the County and Circuit aforesaid malicously [?] assaulted John Remy [?] by Hand [?] and then shooting at him with a Gun loaded with Powder and Ball at said Remy being in shooting distance of said Rite at the time and shot at him.

Against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The Grand Jury of Lawrence County, in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, accuse William Wright, William Sawyers + Johnson Griffith of the offense of Robbery committed as follows, to wit: The said William Wright, William Sawyers + Johnson Griffith on the 1st day of January, 1862, in the County and Circuit aforesaid felloneously took one rifle gun the property of Andrew Cooksey from his possession and against his will by putting him in fear of some immediate injury to his person.

Large on the 1st day of January, 1862, in the County and Circuit aforesaid felloneously took two muskets the property of Andrew Cooksey out of his possession and against his will by putting him in fear of some immediate injury to his person.

The Grand Jury of Lawrence in the same and by the authority of the Commonwealth, accuse Henry H. Young and K. F. Lacy of the offence of Horse stealing committed as follows to wit:
The said Henry H. Young and K. F. Lacy on the 13th of June 1862 in the County and Circuit aforesaid did wilfully and feloniously take steal and carry away one yellow mare the property of Calvin Right of the value of more than four dollars, contrary to the form of the state in such cases made and provided and against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Elhun Wright + John Thompson jr. of Lawrence County Kentucky hereby acknowledge themselves jointly indebted to the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the Sum of One hundred and fifty Dollars to be void however of Kenus Lacey shall appear in the Lawrence Circuit Court on the first day of its next April term to answer the indictment for Larceny found in said Court against him and Shall not depart without leave of the Court.
