This indenture made this 6th day of September 1834 by & between Lewis Pitman Permelia his wife of Laurel County and State of Kentucky of the one part & Jesse Moore and Peggy his wife of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of Twenty five Dollars paid in hand the Recpt. is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained & sold unto sd. Moore his heirs or assigns all that tract or parcel of Land situate and lying in the County of Laurel on the waters of Little Raccoon Creek containing by survey fifty acres & bounded as follows (to Wit) Beginning at John Mitchels North west corner at forked White oak thence East with his line 89 1/2 poles to two Black oaks Sapling near a Small branch thence west 89 1/2 poles to two hickorys in pit*** & Mitchels line thence with sd. line to the beginning. Together with all and Singular the premisses thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the Land thereby conveyed with the appurtnances unto the sd. Moore his heirs & assigns forever & the Sd. Pitman and Permela his wife for themselves their heirs Exetrs. Adms. unto the sd. Moore his heirs Extrs. Adms. or assigns the aforesaid Tract of Land and premises (from but from?) no other claim or claims whatsoever in Testimony whereof the sd. Pitman and Permala his wife have hereunto Set their hands and Seals  the date above written.

I Lot P i t m a n Clerk of the Court for the County aforsd. do certify that the foregoing deed from Lewis Pitman and Permela his wife to Jesse Moore was produced to me on the day of the date hereof and acknowledged by sd. Pitman to be his act and deed and the sd. Permela his wife being by me examined privately and apart from her sd. husband Said she did freely and willingly Seal and deliver the sd. Writing and wishes not to retract it but acknowledged the Same again Shown & Explained to her to be her act and deed and consented that the Same might be entered of Record which is done accordingly. Given under my hand the 5th September 1834.
