This indenture made this 14th day of March Eighteen hundred and thirty four between Haden Edwards, T. H. Edwards, John McKay and Sally his wife, Ana S. (or L.?) Brown and Milly Adair heirs and representatives of William Edwards Decd. late of Nelson County and State of Kentucky , of the one part and John Pearl of Laurel County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that whereas sd. William Edwards in his lifetime did sell to sd. Pearl the following tract of Land for the sum of one hundred and seventy pounds Current money of the United States to the sd. William Edwards in hand paid wherefore in consideration of the premises the sd. William Edwards , T. H. Edwards, John McKay and Sally his wife, Ana S. (or L.?) Brown and Milly Adair heirs and representatives of William Edwards, Decd. do bargain sell and convey alian and confirm unto the sd. John Pearl and his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Laurel containing twelve hundred acres and on the waters of Rockcastle River being a part of a Twenty nine Thousand acre Survey in the name of Jacob Ramy(?) and bounded as follows (Viz). Beginning at three post Oaks Standing in Ramys South line 286 poles from William Pearls South west corner thence north 558(?) 1/4 poles to three small post oaks in the Barrens thence west 344 poles to two Spanish Oaks on a ridge thence South 588 1/4 poles to a Small Hickory and Spanish Oak on the point of a ridge thence East 344 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the sd. parcel or tract of Land with all the appurtenances unto the sd. John Pearl and his heirs forever and the sd. heirs and Representatives do covenant and agree with the sd. Pearl and his heirs that they will forever warrant and defend the sd. parcel or tract of Land with its appurtenances unto the sd. Pearl and his heirs from and against any person or persons whatever. In Testimony whereof we the sd. heirs have set our hands and Seals this day and date first written.

Stone? deputy clerk of the County Court for the County aforsd. do certify that on this day Milly Adair one of the parties to the foregoing deed from the heirs and representatives of William Edwards Decd. to John Pearl personally appeared before me in Said County and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed. All of which is certified to the proper office for Record. Given under my hand this 27th day of May 1827(looks like 1827)

Richard K. Calvert and William M. Foster Justices of the peace for sd. County do hereby certify that Haden Edwards and his wife Sally Edwards, John McKay and his wife Sarah L. McKay, Ann S. Brown, Travis H. Edwards and his wife Elizabeth Edwards parties to the within Deed personally appeared before me in our court aforsd. and Subscribed and acknowledged the same to be their act and we having personally examined the sd. Sally Edwards, Sarah L.(?) McKay and Elizabeth Edwards apart from their husbands and they with their own free will and consent Relinquished their Right of Dower in the sd. Lands and desired us to certify the sd. acknowledgements to the clerk of the Laurel County Court in order that the sd. deed may be Recorded. Given under our hands and Seals this 14th day of June 1834.
