1948 Julian School - Hwy 272
My mother made this picture the last day of school, 1948, which is the year the school closed. Mrs.
Nella Mae Waldington (Now at Brookfield Nursing Home) was the teacher. I was one of four first
graders, and do not remember all the students names. Some of them are: Lonnie Fowler, Bobby Fowler,
Gene Noel, Austin Aldridge, Janice Waldington, Glenda Noel, Allie Lee Major, Freda Humphries, Anna Lou
Sumner, JoAnn Humphries, Mary Lou McReynolds, Bill McReynolds, Mary Evelyn Outland, Audury Brame,
Hilda Outland, Carolyn Sue Barnes.
