The plaque at the Historic Courthouse in Lincoln County at Stanford, lists names of locals who served during the Revolutionary War. It is not a complete list, however. For example, listed on the plaque is Stephen Huston, whose brother Nathan commanded a company under George Rogers Clark. Nathan is not listed on the plaque, but is listed on the muster rolls of Clark's troops, and served as the Lincoln County representative at the KY Constitutional Convention.
