About KY Kidz GenWeb

KY Kidz GenWeb began in 2005 under the direction of Mrs. Jerry Taylor, an early volunteer in the KYGenWeb Project who also served as the Bourbon County Coordinator. Her goal was to spark children’s interest in family history by offering simple activities, lessons, and forms they could use to explore their roots.

The project ran through 2008 and reflected the early days of online genealogy education. As technology and research practices evolved, many of the original pages became outdated or inaccessible. This updated edition continues the original spirit—encouraging curiosity, family conversations, and learning—while providing a clearer, more modern introduction to genealogy for young researchers.

The original 2008 version has been preserved in our archives. You can download the ZIP file using this link.
