Submitted by Sherri Hall NOTE: I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information. >From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 8 Apr 2003 MORELAND -- Services for Leona Nutgrass Smith, 80, of Stanford will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Norris McCawley and Oral Denny. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. She died Sunday at Fort Logan Hospital. Born June 10, 1922, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Bessie Bunch Nutgrass. She was a homemaker and a member of Maxey's Valley First Church of God. She was the widow of J.T. Smith. Survivors include a daughter, Marvenna Smith of Hustonville; a son, Tommy Joe Smith of Hustonville; a brother, Glenn Nutgrass of Stanford; a sister, Lucille Hays of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Don Martin, Charles Watts, Jerry Smith, Wesley Benedict, Barkley Lister and Lowell Lay. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
