Mary Kathryn Proffitt, age 77 of Hardinsburg, KY died Sunday, July 23,2006 at 
Fordsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
 
She was born in Irvington, KY on April 18,1929 to the late Jesse Watson Knott 
and Nancy Frances Woods Knott. She was a retired dietary assistant. She was a 
member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and the Daughters of America.
 
She enjoyed sewing, quilting. cooking, canning and gardening.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband - James W. Proffitt
a brother and sister-in-law: Hayden and Margaret Knott
  
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25,2006 at 7PM CDT at Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY with Fr. Tom Buckman officiating.
 
Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO at 
2:30PM on Wednesday.
 
Visitation: Tuesday after 3:30PM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home
