OBITS: Whaley & connected families Page 5, LOG CABIN, Friday, 1 October 1915 Mrs. Dora RANKIN HALEY died at the home of her husband, Mr. Ewalt HALEY, a prominent farmer of near Cross Roads, in Bourbon county, early yesterday morning. She had been ill of Tuberculosis for about four years. She and her husband spent last winter in Florida in the hop of benefiting her health but she was only slightly improved. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. Asbury T. RANKIN and was born near Kelat, this county, thirty-five years ago. On October 5, 1897 she married Mr. Ewalt HALEY and since their marriage they have lived in Bourbon. She was a member ofd the Mt. Carmel Christian church and a splendid Christian woman, whose untimely death will be keenly felt especially by the bereaved husband and fifteen year old daughter, Jessie, who have the sincere sympathy of a wide circle of friends and relatives. She is also survived by her father and brothers, Robert, and Grover, of Berry; James M., of Lexington; Samuel, of Oklahoma; Dr. Geo. RANKIN, of Shawhan; and Thomas, of Waynesville, Ohio. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. R. JONES, will take place from the Mt. Carmel Christian Church Saturday afternoon, October 2nd, at 1:30 o'clock. Burial at Battle Grove cemetery.
