Services wil be at 10 a.m.Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, Crofton, with the Rev. Draper Carver officiating. Burial will be in Cansler Cemetery. Mr. Brown suffered an apparent heart attack and died shortly after arriving at Jennie Stuart Hospital. A native of Christian County he was born January 1, 1915 the son of the late Eddie Franklin and Sarah Simons Brown. He was a farmer and retired coal miner. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alma Hunter Brown; three sons, James Wallace Brown, Louisville, Norman Ray and Wallace Wite Jr., both of Crofton; two daughters, Mrs. Jannie Mae Walker, Percy, Ill., and Linda Sue Brown, Crofton; two brothers, Jesse Louis, St. Charles, and L. Otis, Nortonville; and a sister, Mrs. Lether Alexander, Nortonville. Three grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers will be James, Bill, Aubrey, Gene, Phillip, Don and Jesse Hunter.
