Bon Jellico

   Misses Gertie and Bertie Parker who stay in town spent the week end with their parents, Mr. And Mrs. Henry Parker.

   Mr. Carl Chambers of Pine Ridge C.C.C. Camp was seen in Bon Jellico Saturday and Sunday.

Miss Dora Lovett is visiting Miss Amy Jones of Jellico Creek, this week.

   William Crokemore, who has been in the Cobrin Hospital for the past three weeks was able to be brought home Sunday.

Mr. And Mrs. Robetr Ball of Cincinnati, are visiting relatives here.

Miss Nancy Brown, who has been visiting at Insull, returned home a few days ago.

Mrs. George Stephens of Detroit, Mich., is visiting her father, Mr. Bunion Brown.

   Roy Manning of Williamsburg, made his usual Sunday evening trip to the home of Miss Willie Belle Green.

   Miss Minnie Lovett, who has been attending summer school at Bowling Green, Ky., has returned home. She will start teaching the school at Paint Creek, Monday.

   Misses Delores and Christine Lay of Corbin, Ky., are visiting their aunt, Mrs. M. G. Lovett.  

   F.M. Lovett, teacher of  the Young Men’s Sunday School class of Bon Jellico took his class on a picnic and fishing trip Friday evening. Inviting the Young Ladies’ class, of which Miss Reba Lovett is teacher. Supper was served on the river bank and all reported a nice time.

Mr. Bill Ball of Parkers, Ky., was a Sunday evening visitor here.

   Quite an interesting ball game was played here Sunday afternoon with Yaden ball team. The Score was 19 to 2 in favor of Bon Jellico. 

Milton Lovett visited relatives in Corbin this week end.

   Rev. Everett Moses of Cane Creek held preaching services at Bon Jellico church, Sunday and Sunday night.

Bon Jellico 

The crops are looking better as there has been rain in the last few days.

    Misses Minnie and Dora Lovett who are teaching school in the country were home over the week end.

 L. B. Stanaford’s mule returned home Monday after being gone since Friday.

Several people of Bon Jellico attended the carnival Saturday night.

  We had preaching service here Sunday and Sunday night. Rev. John Hudson, pastor, preached Sunday and Lawrence Prewitt, Sunday night.

Everybody come to our prayer meeting on Friday nights at the school house.

Mr. Lewis Lovett and Francis Stanaford went to Jellico Creek to church, Sunday.

    Mr. And Mrs. Dick Stout visited Mr. Stout’s mother, Mrs. Jim Stout, Sunday afternoon.

Mr. J. Hudson was seen fixing pailings Monday to keep the hogs out.

Miss Minnie Hinkle attended the speaking in town Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. And Mrs. K. Hinkle visited relatives in town Sunday afternoon.
