| RUTH JACKSON MESSER ASHCRAFT, 83, of London, formerly of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Dan Washington Jackson and Lucy Carty Jackson born to them on February 5, 1915 in Knox County. She was the wife of the late James C. "Coach" Messer who preceded her in death on July 3, 1984. She later united in marriage to John Ashcraft. Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 27 at 2 p.m. with the Revs. James Mooneyham and Mervial Newman officiating. Burial followed in the Messer Cemetery at Heidrick. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
