Robert K. ADKINS Robert Kern Adkins, 88, of Corbin, formerly of Saint Stephens, S.C. passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the Christian Care Community Center in Corbin. He was a son of the late Henry Adkins and Bessie Farris Adkins. He was a member and elder at the Saint Stephens Presbyterian Church and an administrative assistant for the Georgia Pacific Corporation and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Ramsey Adkins; sons, Dr. Robert S. Adkins and Tommy Adkins and wife Charlotte; three grandchildren; one sister, Claudia Turner; one brother, Asa Adkins. Services were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, April 9 with the Revs. Larry Smith and Michael Medlock officiating. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
