| William "Ed" Bruner, 62, of Apple Grove in Barbourville, a son of Bessie Warfield Bruner Ore and the late Drew Bruner, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2003 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was a self-employed building contractor and a member of Apple Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Bargo Bruner of Apple Grove; three sons, David William Bruner and wife Kathy Ann of Apple Grove, the Rev. William Bruner Jr. and wife Selina of Apple Grove and Terry Joe Bruner of Somerset; a daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Bruner of Walker; seven grandchildren; his mother, Bessie Warfield Bruner Ore of Barbourville; two brothers, Wilbur Drew Bruner and wife Sandy of Callebs Creek and Michael Bruner and wife Delora of Apple Grove; a sister, Ruth Cobb and husband Ora of Bellevue. Services were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 24, 2003 with the Rev. Denvil Taylor and the Rev. Bobby Lawson officiating. Burial was in Barbourville Cemetery. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
