| GEORGE BAIRD, 93, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday, May 2, 1999 at the Franciscan Health and Rehab Center at Saint Leonards in Centerville, Ohio. He was the son of the late Peter Baird and Martha Buchanan Baird born to them on March 24, 1906. He united in marriage to Donnie Trosper who preceded him in death in 1956; he later united in marriage to Ota West Detherage Baird who survives. He was a retired teacher with the Knox County School System with 42 years service. Funeral services were held in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Denvil Taylor and a grandson Scott Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Burch-Alford Cemetery at Artemus. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
