N.P. BINGHAM N.P. Bingham, 80, of Harlan, formerly of Knox County, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was a son of the late William Boyd Bingham Sr. and Ellen Williamson Bingham. He was the former owner of Harlan Motor Co. and the Chairman of the Harlan Democrat Party. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II where he received a Purple Heart. He is survived by three children, Terry B. Warren and husband John, Ronnie Nelson Bingham Sr. and wife Robyn, Ricky Lynn Bingham Jr., and wife Sherry; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one sister, Mary Brewer. Services were conducted Wednesday at Anderson-Laws &Jones Funeral Home with the Revs. William Boyd Bingham III and Tim Mills officiating. Burial was in Binghamtown Cemetery at Dewitt.
