Dessie P. Wyrick, 84, West Fourth Street, Corbin, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at her residence. She was co-owner of the former Bonza & Wyrick IGA/Foodliner and a 51-year-member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Hoskins; one sister, Georgia Miller of Waterford, Michigan; four grandchildren, Chris Stansberry, Jeremey Rains, Danielle Stansberry, and Tiffany Hoskins; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Roy Wyrick; her daughter, Sandra Stansberry; an infant grandchild, Angela G. Stansberry; and five brothers, Hubert Wilkerson, Henry Wilkerson, Walter Wilkerson, Ralph Wilkerson, and Will Wilkerson. Funeral services were held Friday, July 26 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darren Gaddis officiating. Burial was in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Larry Jones, Glen Baker, Jr. Herren, John Stansberry, Larry L. Gregory, Larry H. Gregory, Jeremey Rains, and Chris Stansberry. Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
