George Whitt Jr.

Mr. George Whitt Jr., 84, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Selma Sesco Whitt and a son of the late George Pickney Whitt and Nancy Alice Whitt. He was a former employee of Corning Glass Works. He believed in the Baptist faith. He is survived by two daughters, Lillian M. Lawhorn of Corbin and Brenda Garcia of Detroit, Mich.; three sons, William Monroe Bill Whitt of Lousia, Dennis Whitt of West Virginia, and Charles Whitt of Corbin; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Ed Whitt of Crum, W. Va.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 at Barbourville Cemetery. Hoppper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
