Whit R. West, 92, of Artemus, the son of the late Blly West and Sally Tuggle Myrick West, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2003 in Knox County Hospital. He was a member of Artemus Baptist Church and a former Knox County school teacher. He is survived by his wife Amy Bays Gibson West of Artemus; a daughter, Janice Vokurka and husband John of Bowling Green; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; his brothers, Howard West and wife Nell of Artemus and Charles West of Dearborn, Mich. Services were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 with the Rev. James Vandy and the Rev. John Partin officiating. Burial was in Barbourville Cemetery. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
