Jess Walters Jess Walters, 93, of Corbin, passed away Monday, October 18, 1999 at his residence. He was the son of the late William Walters and Linda Helton Walters. He was the husband of the late Eva Jane Frazier Walters. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harlan and was a retired coal miner. Survivors include two sons, Jesse Walters and wife Lucille and Chester Walters, all of Corbin; two daughters, Georgia Ulreich and husband Paul of Hamilton, Ohio and June Smith and husband E.G. of Marion, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 20 at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Helton Cemetery at Paint Hill. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
