Ernest WALKER Ernest Walker passed away at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006. He was born on Aug. 17, 1921, to the late Wade and Dora Carnes Walker. He had lived his entire life in Knox County on Stinking Creek with the exception of employment in Detroit, Mich. where he worked at the Dodge Chrysler Factory. He was a farmer and a member of Dewitt Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Ernest Douglas Walker. He is survived by wife Helen Hensley Walker; they were united in marriage on Dec.13, 1949. He also is survived by his children, Bruce Walker and wife Sherry, Michael Walker and wife Marcie, Dorene Bond and husband Wendell, Karen Mills and husband Rev. Tim H. Mills, daughter-in-Law Tammy Walker; seven grandchildren and one grandchild. Services were held Sunday, Nov. 26 at Hopper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Binghamtown Cemetery. |
