Mitchell Osborn VICKERS Mitchell Osborn Vickers, 87, of Barbourville, formerly of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005 at his home. He was a son of the late Mitchell and Bertie Thomlinson Vickers. His wife, Margaret Keels Vickers, preceded him in death. He was a retired machinist with Union Carbide in Oak Ridge, Tenn. and a member of West Lonsdale Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, M. Coppley Vickers and wife Betty and William H. Vickers and wife Ponnee; one sister, Lorene Clower; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren. A graveside service was conducted in Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, Tenn., Tuesday with the Rev. Shane Nickell officiating. Local arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home. |
