| GEORGE ERNEST SMITH, 63, of Wayne, Michigan, formerly of Barbourville, passed away February 22, 1999. He was the son of the late John and Clairinda Smith born to them May 2, 1930. He was the husband of Zora Hammonds Smith of Wayne, Michigan. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Sparks and husband Rod of Georgetown; one sister, Wilma Eleston of Arizonia; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 27 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Wolfe officiating. Burial followed in the Hutchins, Cemetery at Bailey Switch. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
