Elmer RUSS Elmer Russ, 69, of Summerfield , Fla., passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Tuscany Hospice House in Summerfield. He was born in Barbourville, Ky. on Jan. 8, 1938. Mr. Russ joined the military at the age of seventeen and served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. Most of his lifetime, he worked as a carpenter. He also bought and sold real estate. He enjoyed horse racing and casino gambling. He is survived by two sisters, Zelma Woolum of Barbourville, and Ruth Ann West of Summerfield; four brothers, Don Russ of Evansville, Ind., Matt Harold Russ of Barbourville, Clell Russ of Harvard, IIl. and Larry Wayne Russ of Detroit, Mich.; and several sisters-in-law that he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his wife Marion Russ, who passed away in 2001. Entombment will take place at Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum in Winchester, Va.
