Mary Elizabeth Ramey, 91, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 in the Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin. She was a daughter of the late George Stambaugh and Manerva Brummett Stambaugh, and the widow of John Allen Ramey. She was a member of the Seventh Day Advents Church in London. She is survived by six sons; John Ramey and wife Cheryl, Lewis Ramey and wife Louise, Frank Ramey and wife Ruby, David Ramey and wife Phyllis, Larry Ramey and wife Sue, Robert Ramey and wife Danita, one daughter, Cathy Bishop and husband Terry, two brothers; Dr. Harry Stambaugh and Glenn Stambaugh; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. Services were conducted Wednesday, Feb 8, 2006 in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Fred Calkins and Bro. Steve House officiating. Burial was in Davis Cemetery at Davis Bend. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
