| SAM OWENS, 78, of Owens Hollow, passed away Saturday, April 24, 1999 at his home. He was the son of the late John and Viola Hensley Owens born on October 3, 1920 in Knox County. He was a retired block setter who worked for the Viall Lumber Co. and E.K. Woods. He united in marriage with Katherine "Kitty" Merida. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, April 27 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Don Farmer and the Rev. Vernon Morris officiating. Mr. Owens was laid to rest in the Owens Cemetery at Gray. Knox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
