| FREDRICK MEISSNER, 72, of Island Heights, N.J., passed away Sunday,November 8, 1998 in Linwood Convalescent Center, Linwood.Mr. Meissner was a self employed beautician. He was a veteran ofWorld War II serving on the U.S.S. Langley as a boatswain mate. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Area Ribbon with six Bronze Stars and thePhilippine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. He was a pastpresident and former chief of the Island Heights Volunteer Fire Company and a life member of the V.F.W Post #6063 in Toms River, N.J His funeral service and burial was offered privately and at this family's convenience.The family suggest those who desire send memorial contributions to TheAmerican Cancer Society, for Pancreatic Cancer, 2030 South Shore Road,Seaville, N.J. 08230.Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo was in charge of arrangements. |
