Mae Broughton Mills, 90, of Oak Ridge Church Road, Corbin, passed away Wednesday Jan 18, 2006 at her home. She was the widow of Clyde Mills and the daughter of late Tip Smith and Nora Broughton Shorter. She was a member of Young Grove Baptist Church and a former Knox County Hospital Nursing Assistant for more than 15 years. She is survived by two sons; Homer Mills and wife Kathryn Sue and C. Buster Mills and wife Jean; two daughters, Marietta Messer and husband W.J. and Wanda Hammons; one sister Edna Hembree; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Services were conducted in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, Jan 20, 2006 with the Revs. John Clark and Bobbby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial was in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
