| Fred Golden McHargue, 82, died suddenly Wednesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Frazier, near Brick Chapel, southwest of Roachdale. Mr. McHargue, a native of Knox County, KY was born Nov 28, 1869, the son of James and Elizabeth Golden McHargue. He was married Oct 3, 1893 to Idella Frances Keck. Mr. McHargue was a member of the Mount Olivet Bpaitst Church, near Barnard. Following the death of Mrs. McHargue July 12, 1935, Mr. McHargue lived in California 15 or more years. For the past two years he had made his home with his daughter. Survivors include the daughter, Mrs. Frazier, one son, Harvey McHargue of Bakersfield, Calif; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Belle Keck of New Maysville, Ind. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chastain Funeral HOme in Roachdale with burial in Roachdale Cemetery. |
