Mr. Billy W Marsh, 81, of Barbourville, the widower of Catherine Shupe March, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002 in Knox County Hospital. Mr. March was a retired serviceman from Barbourville Water and Electric Company. Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of the Knox Funeral Home on Thursday March 21 at 10 a.m he will be laid to rest in Mayhew Cemetery. A complete obituary will be given in next week's paper. Knox Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Billy W. Marsh, 81, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday morning, March 17, 2002 in the Knox County Hospital. He was a son of the late Perry and Laura Smith Marsh, born on Nov. 11, 1920 in Burnside. Mr. Marsh was a retired serviceman from the Barbourville Water and Electric Co. He attended the Northside Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. On March 17, 1942, he united in marriage with Catherine Shupe and to this union three children were born. He is survived by his two children, Judy Lynn Marsh Warren of Barbourville and Donald Marsh of Decatur, Ill.; one sister, Maxine Polling of Sylmor, Calif.; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Loretta Swafford of Barbourville; among others to mourn his passing. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, March 21 with Rev. Scott Phipps and Bro. Jesse Mills officiating. Mr. Marsh was laid to rest in the Mayhew Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
