| MATTIE JORDAN, 88, of Artemus, was born in Knox County to the late Ike Mills and Sarah Smith Mills on January 1, 1911 and passed away Saturday, August 28, 1999 in the Knox County Hospital. On April 25, 1936 she was united in marriage to Walter Jordan. Survivors include her husband, Walter Jordan of Barbourville. Funeral services were conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 30 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. B.F. Jackson and the Rev. Earl Hammons officiating. Burial followed in the Goins Cemetery at Apple Grove. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
