| LOIS LAWSON JACKSON, 90, of Artemus, passed away in the Pineville Community Hospital, Sunday, December 27, 1998. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Jane Singleton Lawson born to them on October 31, 1908 in Tazewell, Tennessee. She was a retired Knox County School teacher. On November 23, 1927 she united in marriage to Rev. James Thomas "Jim" Jackson Sr. who preceded her in death on January 16, 1979. Funeral services for Lois Jackson were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 30, 1998 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. John Partin and her grandson, Rev. Bobby Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. |
