Thelma Baker Hughes, 71, of Barbourville, formerly of Bell County, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2003 in Pineville Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Richard Baker and Debbie Lawson Baker Brock. She was a member of the Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Kenneth S. Hughes of Barbourville; children, Debbie and Gary Cornelius and Sheila and Bill Ledford, all of Barbourville, and Ruby and Vernon Hohn and Karen Craig, all of Davison, MI; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leon Baker of Indianapolis, Ind., Virgil Baker and Howard Baker, both of Pineville, Llyod Brock of Mooresville, Ind. and Virgie Dell of Barbourville. Services were held Sunday at Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Leon Baker, Donnie Messer and Hubert Baker officiating. Burial was in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Thea O. Carter. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. This is a courtesy announcement of Knox Funeral Home.
