Lulie Carnes Hammons

Mrs. Lulie Carnes Hammons, 77, of Bimble, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Lum and Lillie Gray Carnes. She believed in the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Otis Hammons of Bimble; two daughters, Katherine Mills of Flat Lick and Caroline Burnett and husband Clyde of Gray; four sons, B.J. Hammons of Artemus, Teddy Hammons of Barbourville, Jerry Hammons and wife Kathy of Heidrick and Otis Hammons Jr. and wife Tiffany of Girdler; one sister, Ruby Hale of Flat Lick; one brother, Grover Carnes of Barbourville; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Wolfe, the Rev. Herman Hudson and the Rev. Dale Johnson officiating. Burial was in Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
