Lovinnia BAYS GREENE Lovinnia Bays Greene, 86, of Fat Lick, the daughter of the lat Greenbury and Sarah Matilda Partin Bays, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 in Knox County Hospital. She was born March 21, 1920 in Artemus, Ky. On Nov. 15, 1943, she united in marriage with Daniel P. Greene, who preceded her in death in 1993. Lovinnia was an LPN at Pineville Hospital and a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Pineville, Ky. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Bray and Roberta Bain, and a nephew Don Bray, who was like a brother. Lovinnia is survived by her sons, Danny Greene and wife Laura, and Eddie Greene and wife Linda, all of Flat Lick; a brother, Rufus Bays and wife Ruth of Coalport, a sister, Amy West of Bowling Green; a dear aunt, Ruth Partin Sowders of Artemus ; her grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Sarah and James, all of Flat Lick, Adam Partin and wife Kris of Walker Park; and a great granddaughter, Maggie June Partin; and many more friends and family. Funeral services for Lovinnia Bays Greene were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rick Partin and Rev. Larry Sowders officiating. Burial followed in Pineville Cemetery in Pinveille, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Hopper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. For condolences, visit |
