Henry Matt Gray, 87, of Pineville and formerly of Knox County, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2003 in Britthaven Nursing Home. He was a son of the late William and Troy Gray. He was a member of Whipple Baptist Church at Balken and a member of the U.M.W.A. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gray of Pineville; three sons, Donald Lee Gray of Balken, Henry Matt Gray Jr. of Cubbage and Carson Gray of London; three daughters, Dora Mekras and husband George of Florida, Betty Crawford and husband Dewey of Louisville and Evelyn Johnson and husband Phil of Texas; one brother, Bill Gray and wife Juanita of London; two sisters, Artie Flarida and huband Dan of Lebanon, Ohio and Sue Cox and husband George of Lexington; six grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, June 7, 2003 in Creech Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro with the Revs. Shelby Money and Cecil Hensley officiating. Burial was in Miracle Cemetery at Miracle.
