Mr. Gene Gray, 74, of Barbourville, Ky., the son of the late Calloway and Sudie Smith Gray, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 in Barbourville Nursing Home. He believed in the Baptist faith and was a retired coal miner.

He is survived by two sisters, Katherine Gray of Bimble and Gladys Craft of Knightstown, Ind.; one brother, Marvin Gray and wife Irene of Barbourville.

Services were conducted in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003 with the Rev. Phillip Wynn and the Rev. Duke Hammons officiating. Burial was in Sowders Cemetery at Artemus. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
