Mr. Ted Evans, 82, of Barbourville, a son of the late Hattie Evans, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2003 in St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

He was a retired mechanic and bus driver from the Knox County school system and a member of First Baptist Church of Barbourville.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Evans of Barbourville; two children, Wilma Gladys Tye and husband James of Barbourville and Ronnie Lee Evans and wife Sandra of Corbin; two sisters, Elizabeth Peace and Mary Williams and husband James, all of Barbourville; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Services were conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Monday, March 24 with the Rev. Jeffery Branum and the Rev. Shane Nickell officiating. Burial was in Evans Cemetery at Kingtown. Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home.
