Charles E. ELLIOTT Charles �Charlie� Eugene Elliott, 69, of Corbin, passed away Monday, May 29, 2006 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was a son of the late Roy and Essie Mae Burdette Elliott. He was a retiree of Johnson Paper Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, a U.S., Army veteran, and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Alta Kathleen Jaynes Elliott; five sisters, Faye Turner, Millie Conrad, Sammie Martin and husband Charlie, Francis Hess and Brenda Rowland and husband Jerry; one brother, Bobby Elliott; sisters-in-law, Billie Reeder and husband Robert, Wilma Partin and husband Rick and Velma Barton and husband Jeff; brothers-in-law, Bruce Jaynes and Curtis Jaynes. Services were held Thursday, June 1 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Roach officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery at Meadow Creek with full military graveside honors.
