Mrs. Florena Cecil Crawford, 70, of Kay Jay, the daughter of the late Grady Cecil and Bessie Crawford Cecil, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at her home. She believed in the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Harle Crawford of Kay Jay; one son, Dennis Crawford and wife Aloggia of Aurora, Ind.; two sisters, Shirley Williams and husband Jim of Beckley, W. Va. and Faye Volpi and husband Joe of Artemus; four brothers, Lowell Cecil and wife Mary of Barbourville, Lonna Cecil and wife Marsha of Trosper, Michael Cecil and wife Kimberly of Holton, Ind. and Doyal Cecil and wife Bonnie of Arkansas; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services were conducted in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003 with the Rev. Arnold Petrey and the Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Burial was in Lunsford Cemetery at Kay Jay. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
