| JOHN T. COREY, 81, of Louisville, formerly of Barbourville, passed away Saturday, November 6, 1999 in the Jewish Hospital. He was the son of the late Joel and Daisy Cottingim Corey born to them on December 19, 1917 in Barbourville. He was a retired assistant principal and former guidance counselor at Wagganer High School. He also had been a principal in Harlan County and a teacher in Knox County. He served our country in the Army National Guard, the Navy and the Marines during World War II. Survivors include his wife, the former Geraldine Bennett of Louisville. Funeral services were conducted at the Beechwood Baptist Church Wednesday, November 10 at 1 p.m. He was laid to rest in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville. Pearson Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. |
