
| J. R. Carnes, age 77, Manchester, Ky., formerly of Pineville, passed away this morning at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Flem Carnes and Margaret Knuckles Carnes. He was a retired coal operator and a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church of Manchester. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Pineville and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Susan Carnes. two children. Mildred Prellyman, Toledo. Ohio and Mable Dunn of Groves, Texas, and several brothers and sisters; Tom Carnes. Lexington, Ky.; Axie Martin , of Indiana; Jim Carnes, George Carnes, Sol Carnes; Martha Krusselman, Charity Pumphrey; Bertha Matlach. and Mary Kreuger all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Horse Creek Baptist Church in Manchester with the Rev. Denvis Rush officiating. Interment will be at Ihe Pineville Cemetery, Pineville. The body is at the Rominger Funeral Home in Manchester where friends may call. Rominger Funeral Home in charge. |
