Grover CARNES
Grover Carnes, 86, of Artemus, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 in Knox County Hospital. Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Barbourville Cemetery. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Grover Carnes, 86, of Artemus, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 in Knox County Hospital. He was a son of the late Lum Carnes and Lille Doan Carnes. He was a former employee of the Chrysler Corporation and a retired logger.

He is survived by his wife, Tressie Carnes; sons; Garrett Carnes, Bobby Carnes and Matthew Carnes and wife Teresa; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Hale.

Services were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Jan 18, 2006 with the Rev. B.F. Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
