William Anderson Dozier ("Capt. Billy") b. Virginia in 1816, d. Umatilla, OR in 1904. Capt. Billy enlisted in the 7th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry in 1861 at Camp Dick Robinson and was elected Captain of Company "I". He was badly wounded near Cumberland Gap in August 1862 and resigned his commission in�February 1863 and received his discharge�as he was unable to continue his service due to his wounds.
