Jo
Thiessen joined the KYGenWeb Project in April
1996 when the KYGenWeb Project was just being
formed as coordinator for the Scott and Woodford
County sites. In addition to acting county
coordinator for Scott and Woodford Counties, she
later also took on Harrison County for the
KYGenWeb Project and she was deeply involved
with all things historical in Scott County, KY.
Jo loved nature almost as much as she loved
history. She excitedly told us about watching
deer from the deck of her home in Georgetown,
KY.
Jo was among the first of us who learned to use
a digital camera. She was usually working on a
new project but always had time to help others
when they needed her.
We all loved and respected Jo; she is greatly
missed.
