Mt. Lebanon School in 1910




Mt. Lebanon School was a one-room frame structure. It was located approximately 8 miles east of Nicholasville. The teacher was Sherman Cook. Front row (from left) - Delos English, Leo Burdine, Tom Burdine, Virgil Burton,
Carl Johns, Forest Fain, Elmer Willis, Wesley Johns, and Allen Johns.

Second row - Oakley House, Groom Taylor, Forest Burton, Herbert Willis, Hobart Burdine,
Minnie Perkins (Hughes), and Media Lowery (Cook).

Third row - Everett Taylor, Hargis Frederick, Burton House, Kate Perkins, Virginia Burdine (Cobb),
Sarah Sanders (Sanders), Horace Blakeman, Luther Burdine, and Sherman Cook, teacher. The students were
in grades one through eight.
